Keep US Posted Calls on Congress to Reform USPS After $9 Billion Annual Loss

USPS SERVES US Act (H.R. 3004), is An Alternative to a Taxpayer Bailout, Providing Better Accountability & Incentivizing Productivity

(Nov. 14, 2025) — Washington, DC — Keep US Posted, a nonprofit advocacy group of consumers, nonprofits, newspapers, greeting card publishers, magazines, catalogs and small businesses dedicated to protecting the long-term health of the U.S. Postal Service, reacted to USPS projected 2025 losses by urging new Postmaster General David Steiner to work together with members of Congress on reforms that would correct the mistakes of former Postmaster General Louis DeJoy.

“While DeJoy is thankfully out of office, his Delivering for America plan continues to be a colossal failure for our country,” said former Congressman Kevin Yoder (R-Kans.), executive director of Keep US Posted. “Postmaster General Steiner needs to reject the Delivering for America plan and its massive rate hikes, service delays and the focus on packages over mail — all of which are clearly driving mail from the system and hurting the financial viability of our nation’s mail network.”

Keep US Posted supports H.R.3004 — legislation called the “USPS Services Enhancement and Regulatory Viability Expansion and Sustainability for the U.S. Act” (or USPS SERVES US Act). The legislation, which was introduced by Congressman Sam Graves (R-Mo.), would give the Postal Regulatory Commission — the agency which regulates the USPS — the power to stop onerous stamp hikes and mail delays. It would also limit price increases to once per-year, and institute other reforms aimed at accountability, efficiency and success — such as creating an autonomous Office of Customer Advocate to hear Americans’ concerns and protect the public.
